The stigma surrounding mental health in the education setting

One of the most significant barriers to  addressing mental health issues in academic settings is the stigma that surrounds them.

Many students and educators feel uncomfortable discussing their mental health struggles, fearing judgment or repercussions.

This stigma can prevent individuals from seeking help. To overcome this it's important to foster an environment where mental health is openly discussed and normalized. Initiatives such as mental health awareness campaigns and peer support programs can play as a key role in reducing this stigma.
